This is Max + Me!

My name is Kimberly and I’m so happy you found my page.

I have been an artist for as long as I can remember.  I come from a creative family — each of us with our own talents and interests.  My mother would always have craft projects for us to work on that go with the season, month, or holiday that was right around the corner.  We love a good theme!

And it wasn’t just arts and crafts while growing up.  My brother, sister, and I would put on personal plays and dance recitals just for our parents.  Lucky them!

I also played piano, clarinet, and saxophone throughout my school years.  Art just seems to be in my bones.

I bet most of us did a lot of these things when we were younger.  We all have been creative and used our imagination. We were more carefree.  I am here to encourage you to uncover and embrace the creativity and freedom of your childhood.  Create without overthinking it!

Accessing your creativity can also help you work through difficult times in your life.  It’s a time to relax and let go of the day’s stress — even if it’s only for a short time. It can give your brain a break.  Art is just as important as your weekly facial, or moving your body, or taking a bubble bath.  Art is self-care.

“Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.”

— Andy Warhol
